Classic Colors

Sweater: Vince (old) | Faux Leather Leggings: Vigoss via Saks Fifth Avenue | Booties: Target | Bag: Tory Burch | Watch: Michael Kors | Tiffany & Co. style bracelet: Poshmark | Lips: Chanel in Palpitante via Nordstrom

Sooo, Target is currently killing it with their boot game. I stopped in to pick up the usuals (paper towels, detergent, trash bags, etc.) and as I walked by the shoe aisle BAM! there were all of these beautiful boots and booties! Three pairs. THREE pairs. I bought three pairs of boots at Target. They are all amazing though, like really cute. They're also surprisingly comfortable and extremely versatile. My ankle boots a bought at Target last year I absolutely love and are still going strong so I figured they were worth investing in, especially since they were so affordable. This pair of gray booties reminds me of the Christian Louboutin pair I've seen. I love how they work almost like a black boot but are a great, more interesting option with a lot of looks. I think they went perfectly with this black and navy ensemble. I've heard the fashion "rule" that you "can't" wear navy and black but that's a bunch of hooey. Black and navy can look GREAT together and I love mixing the two. This awesome Vince sweater was a holiday gift from my husband last year. I actually wore it while I was 8 and 9 months pregnant! Haha. Vince makes some of my favorite sweaters and tops. It is pricey though so if ever I get a Vince piece, it's from Nordstrom Rack. Sometimes they have great Vince pieces for a fraction of the original price. What better way to tie together a look of classic colors than with a bright red lip and red nails. It was the perfect looks for a date night to the Avalanche game and touring the Pepsi Center. Sam (my hubby) is actually bringing Rita's Italian Ice to Denver. It is opening in the Pepsi Center next month he showed me all of their locations in the Pepsi Center. If you're in the Denver area and know what Rita's is...you are probably already excited. If you have never had Rita's...you will love it.
Back to the outfit...
I highly suggest adding a great pair of faux leather pants to your closet. They are warm, very versatile and a great option to black leggings. The texture is great for adding interest to an outfit. I found this pair online at Saks Fifth Avenue for less than $50! The "price per wear" on them is incredible. I will probably have these baby's til they literally fall apart! Haha.
