As I am sure I have mentioned beforeā€¦I love to layer. Adding layers increases the visual interest of a look and just polishes everything. Cold weather is the perfect opportunity to layer up! When I snagged this cranberry sweatshirt for half off I fell in love with the zipper side details and though "that would look so cute with a striped shirt peeking out from underneath!" Of course, J. Crew also had the perfect striped top and I love that it has zippers as well since is "matches" the zipper in the sweatshirt. I wanted a semi-monochromatic feel to the outfit so I wore my super comfortable gray jeans and black boots and black accessories.
On another note, we had quite the winter storm come through recently (if you're one of my local readers you understand what I'm talking about). It dropped about 20 degrees in two hours on the day the storm rolled in and was under 30 degrees for a few days. Needless to say, I didn't venture out much and am just now getting back into the swing of things. On top of that, my phone was on the fritz as well as my computer. All of that to say, blogging has been extremely difficult. I replaced my phone (with the new iPhone 6 which I love), my awesome hubby fixed my computer and I can't wait to share some new things with you!

I am going to attempt my first rubber treatment on my Hunter boots since, as you can see, they're starting to look "powdery". Have any of you done it yet? Any pointers?
