This is one of my favorite looks to date. Not only do I love the color combination of black and pink (as well as gray and pink) but I love the feminine and edgy combination. It is a little unexpected but works so well together in this look. Another great choice for cool Spring days. The long sleeve crop sweater is just warm enough and thin enough to not be too hot and the skirt is nice and airy. The sweater and skirt is the perfect basic canvas to play around with and pairs perfectly with fun, detailed accessories like my tasseled cross body and lace up boots. If I could wear only two colors for the rest of my life...I would be very tempted to make those two colors black and pink. My favorite colors to wear together are black, pink, navy, gray and white. I enjoy ALL of the beautiful colors on this earth, but those catch my eye every time. I have to be very intentional when shopping to not only buy those colors. They are just all such wonderful "neutrals" and pair well with a vast amount of other colors and pieces.

A little about my life right now:
We are house shopping.
I used to like house shopping.
The market in Colorado is a tough one for buying right now. As soon as we find something we like, someone else snatches it up before we can get to it. I've had my heart broken a number of times but nothing compared to what happened yesterday...
I found THE place. A beautiful log house on a small acreage, already set up for my horse (yes, I'm from the country and love the country). This is essentially unheard of in the area we like, in our price range. I also found out that it is already under contract. There is a very small chance that it will fall through this Friday when it goes up for inspection. If it does, we have a chance at it! If not, as disappointed as I feel, I know that God has something better for us. He knows our wants, and more importantly our needs, better than we do and I trust Him. I would be lying if I said that it wasn't difficult at times. I spent most of the night last night praying that The Lord gives me the strength to focus on Him rather than focus on my disappointments. So, I am choosing to continue to praise Him because he is so worthy of our praise, no matter what happens! He has already given my the most precious gifts I could ever ask for, how could I not thank Him?
