Valentine's Day is almost here! Yeah yeah, I know it's entirely over-commercialized (like most other American holidays). I also get that you should ALWAYS show the one you love that you love them. However, what's so wrong with having a "special" day set aside to honor and enjoy the one your with? It's a great excuse to say, "nope, not going to work on the laundry today. I have to go to the museum with my love." So to any of you Valentine's Day scrooges out there who think it isn't worth doing...think again. You don't have to buy overpriced flowers and chocolate (although that's okay too). Just find something to give/do that is meaningful to the special one in your life. It might even be free! Just sit down and take the time to write your feelings on a piece of paper for them to cherish or tackle that project that you know has been weighing on them. What better day to paint the bathroom? Whatever would be special to you and your significant that. You really have nothing to lose.

If you'll be going on any kind of casual date...I've got you covered. A cute, laid back graphic tee (love this Valentine's themed tee to add a bit of whimsy) is fun and the perfect casual vibe when paired with sexy skinny jeans and a killer pair of heels. The heels and layered on jewels dress it up just a little but you could keep the jewelry minimal if that's more your style. It is the biggest secret ever that I tend toward monochromatic looks (sarcasm) so why would this look be any different? I saw a gray and blush pink tee and immediately thought, "Ah! I'll wear my gray jeans with it!". I just can't help myself. A tee like this would also look great with white or blue denim and heels. Honestly, one of the things that appealed to me most about the shirt is what it says. Yes, of course it's a nod to the upcoming holiday, but it means more to me than that. I don't know if any of you can identify with this, but as a married woman, I often forget to just kiss Sam. Maybe you can't identify with that and you think i'm insane, but its true. Life get's crazy and I just forget. I don't like forgetting. Being long distance for almost two years, I used to dream of when I would have the privilege of kissing him everyday. Now I have that opportunity and don't take advantage of it like I should. All of that to say that the message on this silly shirt was an immediate reminder to just kiss my husband more. When I have the words "KISS KISS" emblazoned across my chest, I will have zero excuses for forgetting to give him little (or big) kisses throughout the day. Maybe this week you can think of what it is in your relationship that is a bit neglected and make a commitment to just doing it. I know my hubby greatly appreciates the kisses throughout the day and I'm sure you can make your loved one's day brighter by incorporating whatever it is that they love.
So...KISS KISS and enjoy all of the reminders to love the one you're with.

~Happy Monday~
