I am so tired of everything being brown and dead. I just want green...green grass, green trees, etc. This wall I stood in front of would have been so much prettier if it had been covered in GREEN vines, le sigh. Oh well, we've almost made it to the first day of Spring! I'm sure there will be green popping up soon.  One of the challenges that bloggers face...it can be difficult finding pretty places to shoot pictures for posts when it is gross outside. I can't complain too much though, it forces to me to explore new parts of my city!

Speaking of Spring...I wanted to share what I have dubbed my Spring Uniform. I usually end up in: white jeans, a blouse or tee, and cute heels or flats (sandals on the extra warm days).
These jeans are my new go-to. I will warn you...they are very tight and feel kind of like leggings. Go up at least one size. I typically wear a 24 or 25 depending on the brand and I bought these in a 26. I love them though! You'll get a lot of mileage out of these and they're at a great price!
The blush heels have also been on heavy rotation (I only have like five upcoming outfits that I want to  wear these with, yikes). Pastel shoes are hot on the radar for Spring (more on that later). I love these because they are beautiful, have a great fit and aren't too terribly expensive. I really really love this pair but that is just a bit out of my budget at the moment (sarcasm) but the pair I'm wearing here is a great alternative that I truly love as well and I could afford them without spending our mortgage payment.
Having those two items in your closet (white jeans and pastel heels) will take you right into a fresh Spring look. They are also pieces that will serve you well for years to come. I do understand that I should probably share a tutorial on how to remove stains from white denim since I'm advocating them! Haha. Actually, I rarely have a problem with staining my white pants to the point that it won't come out so no excuses! Seriously though, I wear them all of the time and they go with everything.

I wore this look to Sam's birthday dinner. We went out with the family to one of our favorite restaurants, Il Fornaio. They have some of the best Italian food that I have had in the Midwest.  There are a few things I definitely miss about the east coast and excellent Italian food is one them. If you're local and get the chance to eat here, I definitely recommend it. Their desserts are so good!
Also, my hair dryer broke last week so I wore this weird, semi-scrunched, semi-wet hairstyle on most days. Not sure how I feel about it.

I should probably get off of here and back to my day. While I was editing these pics, Aya tried to eat Judah's markers, she fell and gave herself a bloody mouth and my entire office was covered in coloring pictures of Lightning McQueen and Mater. I love working from home but that isn't always a pretty sight! Ha.
