Classic Gingham

Dress (similar here: 12345) | Heels (Shoemint, no longer available but similar here: 12345) | Bag (on sale!) | Watch | Sunglasses | Lips in 58 | Nails

It is hard to beat a classic silhouette like this tie waist dress. There is a reason that dresses shaped like this have been around for so long...the look good. A shape like this is pretty universally flattering and we all love that! Pair a classic cut with a classic pattern (I love this mini-gingham) then add some modern updates with your accessories and you're sure to have a chic look. Isn't it amazing that a dress that would have killed it in the 50's looks great today? The ankle ties on the heels are also a nod to the same era but the blocky heel and strap above the feet brings it into this decade perfectly. I obviously needed a bright lip to add just a little punch of color, so that happened. This is one of those looks that I just can't stop wearing. It is so perfect for every day, and dinner, and church, and just about anything else I would normally do out and about.
I have to say goodbye for the day since Sam is taking me rock climbing today...we're going to try to snap some pics so there is a chance that my death will be captured on film! Just kidding...I hope.
Anywho, enjoy your day and I'll be back soon!
