When putting a look together, you can pull inspiration from just about anywhere. A source of inspiration that I love is nature. I don't know anyone that it is a better expert at color mixing than God, ha! Flowers especially can be excellent examples of colors that look perfect together. I love the pinks, yellows and creams in the water lilies and even the greens in the lily pads. If you're feeling a little "blah" when trying to come up with new color palettes, I suggest heading to a local garden (most cities have Botanic Gardens) and snapping some pictures of color combos you like!

Let me share a little about this blouse; I went into my closet the other day to find a nice blouse to wear. I realized that all of my lightweight blouses that were cool enough to wear in warm weather were all the same silhouette (mostly like this). It is a great shape but I don't always want to look the same. Isn't it funny how when we find something we like, we always gravitate towards it when shopping? I guess it makes shopping easy but it also makes for a boring closet. I, of course, headed out in search of a blouse that would serve the same purpose while giving me a different and interesting silhouette. I was so happy when I found the one I'm wearing here. Not only was the shape different for me, but I love how it is a little shorter in the front and long in the back and the lace detail is just beautiful! I wore a great camisole (here) in a nude color and I was set!
I think it pairs perfectly with the flare-leg denim trend and a few pops of color with my purse and lips. I even tied in my accessories with a black band watch and black and neutral sunglasses.
This is one top that I definitely can't wait to style again and again.
